Events over 10 days throughout Cardiff included the opening event at the Senedd, daily concerts at Wales Millennium Centre curated by Madeleine Mitchell, St David's Hall BBC National Orchestra of Wales and lunchtime concert, Eliza Carthy and jazz violin, Cardiff University, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama concert and workshop, Chapter Arts (The Devil's Violin), National Museum of Wales, Norwegian Church (folk fiddle), Royal Society of Arts, with talks, exhibitions of children's red violin paintings at WMC, archive photos of violinists at SDH, and the installation at WMC foyer of the unique sounding Giant Violin devised by Mitchell.
